Sunshiny Days



The sun has been out all week and my energy level is high! Whenever it's sunny I have too much energy. Really, too much. My clients think I'm crazy because I jump around all the time. Sometimes I feel like I'll go crazy if I don't dance or something.




Today after a good arm workout I had too much energy so I got one of my training partners to box with me. Not "real, hit each other, sparing" but with gloves and mitts, it was great! It was hard. I felt out of shape because there was no way I could have gone 3 minutes, rest. 3 minutes.... I commend boxers, it's a totally different type of workout!




I'm going dancing tonight! My roommate invited me to a dance party! I'm going to get my groove thing on! Then, tomorrow, I'm going to Cleveland for a bodybuilding show. Then Sunday, I'm teaching my mom and two sisters pilates. It's going to be a great weekend! I hope everyone enjoys theirs too.

Freakin Awesome Workout! I'm Strong.

HELLO!! I just finished a workout/battle. Here's the story:
A few days ago...no wait. I have to go back further.
Jack (you know my buddy Jack) well, he's a trainer at my gym. He trains this guy Jay. Jay is maybe 6'2" with a muscular build. Not Big and muscular, but you can tell he works out pretty hard almost everyday. You know what I mean??

Anyway, I always see him in there and he always make comments about how big my arms are..blah blah blah. Well, the other day, he was saying how he hates to train legs. I love legs and I told him I'll do it with him. He said he was TOO strong for me and I couldn't keep up. IT'S ON! So, we've been talking smack to each other for a few days and today was the day!
First, I had to ride the bike for 30 min at level 12. Eek, I never get up to 12, but that's what Jay does, so I did. (What he doesn't know is I had already done cardio twice and been working since 5:30am.)

Then, we trained shoulders first. I forgot that they do shoulders and legs together. (Which actually worked for me because those are my strongest areas.) Shoulder press, lateral raises, and rear delts. I took him on! I was even with him on reps, sets and weight the whole time! HA! He was nervous.

Then, when legs began. I kicked his booty! Leg press, hack squat, 1 leg squats & calves. I kicked his booty hard! I lifted more, did more reps and sets! HA! I'm so energized! He knows I beat him and everyone else in the gym knows too! Hee Hee.

I didn't realize how strong I actually was. It's so motivating to know that I can compete and beat guys in the gym!

Ok, I'm done bragging, I just had to share because I feel so good! RRrraaahhhrr!

Still sick. But learned to dance!!

I had a sinus infection and strep throat last week. I went to the Doctor and got some medicine. Now, almost two weeks later, I'm still sick. My nose is stuffy and my throat hurts. I just got some new medicine, so hopefully I'll be better soon. I hate being sick!


Last night was St. Patty's Day. I went to a Showcase with my roommate, Kate (who's a dance instructor), to see her boyfriend. Danielle (who's also a dance instructor), dance. It was an awesome show! Great music and fabulous dancing.

Afterwards, the three of us and a few other friends went to a bar to play pool and....yes, drink! Yup. I drank!

With the music blaring Danielle grabbed me, spun me and taught me the Hustle. It was so much fun, he made me look like I knew what I was doing! He was spinning and pulling and twisting me...it was great. I also learned a rrrumba!!

When Kate and Danielle danced together it was amazing to see their bodies flow together so well. They are both so talented.


I was introduced into the "Dancing" world and I think I've introduced them to the "Bodybuilding" world. For example, Danielle didn't know tuna came in 4lb cans. (I have 2 in my pantry right now.) Or, that you can get pasteurized egg whites in 5lb cartons.


Anyway, I had a great night of dancing and hopefully soon I'll be feeling better too! Goodnight.

I'm sooorrrreee.....

Ouch! I'm back in the gym, training hard and heavy again and oh my, I'm so sore today! Today is Friday...my chest is sore from Tuesday, my back finally healed from last Monday, my legs are killing me from Wednesday! Oh, and my abs hurt too. I feel like I haven't worked out in a year!

I did cardio this morning! I listened to the same song for 30 minutes straight.... it kept me so pumped up! I was dancing on the treadmill, probably looked a little stupid, but that didn't stop me......It's "Ain't Nothing Wrong With That," by Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

Training this week

I trained my back today and I got tired! It's funny, when I was dieting I was tired and worn out everyday, but today I was seriously fatigued from training! It was new feeling. Part of it could be that I've had a sinus infection for the last 6 days, but I'm getting better.


I woke up early this morning to do cardio! It was so refreshing. I did the eliptical for 30 minutes. My energy was up, my ipod was blaring and I really enjoyed it! I think I will do it again tomorrow! Cardio can't hurt after all the ice cream I've had!

Enjoying My Week

Since the Arnold, I've had the best week. Nothing can stress me out! I'm really enjoying my freedom. I've enjoyed the privilage of not having to measure or pack my meals for the day. I love that I can eat fruit! I can eat an apple anytime I want, or two apples! I've had a bowl of ice cream every night this week! I haven't had to wake up 4 hours before work to cook and pack my meals, pack clothes for the gym and my uniform, do cardio and then get a shower to start work by 7:00am.

I'm to the point now, where I'm a little sick of food. I'm going to start eating a little cleaner now. The weather is getting warmer and soon I can go for walks outside! Spring is coming and I'm loving it!

Arnold Weekend

HELLOO!! Arnold Weekend was a blast! I placed 3rd in the middleweights. I weighed in at 140.2 lbs. I had so much fun.
I got to spend time with my friends Holly and Kristy (pictured below at dinner). I spent time with my good friend Hans, who took a few of the pictures below. My whole family was there, I had a ton of friends and clients that made it out to see me. The whole weekend was just so much fun. I felt so beautiful all weekend. My hair and makeup were done and I hadn't a care in the world. The competition was run really well and after a shower, I got to eat ice cream and had a great night out!
I really want to thank everybody for their support. I got a lot of good emails and phone calls that helped me finish out those tough last weeks.
I had some support from a few businesses here in Columbus, OH. Sun Your Buns sponsored my tanning. And, Healthy Image helped me with some supplements. A big thanks to everyone else that helped me pay for my suit and dieting expenses.
