Check out the May issue of JANE magazine!!

I'm in the May issue of JANE! I'm part of the 30 under 30 atricle. It's 30 (actually 31) women under the age of 30 that have done something inspirational with their lives. Check it out! I'm so proud to be a part of it!

To clarify my last leg workout: The last circuit of horizontal leg pressing is on the same machine with the same weight. It's just 6 reps, followed by 6 short at the bottom, 10 short on 1 leg (& the other), then another 10 short at the bottom and finally a hard & fast 6 full reps! Ouch, it make me weak to think about it again.
You know the weird thing is I wasn't sore at all. Just a little tired. I think I'm almost disappointed. Hmm. Oh well. I'm going to hit them again soon.

Yea, Leg Day is My Favorite!

I always seem to write after leg day. I guess it's because it's the only day that gets me so exhausted and shaky that I can't stand up or have to go straight home to take a nap. That sounds a little sick, huh.
Well, yesterday we set up a circuit or 4 exercises.

Regular leg press with 10 plates on for 15 reps.

After a quick rest, 45 degree leg press for as many reps as you can do.

Then to the Smith machine for some deep wide squats.

FINALLY, the best for last, horizontal leg press: 6 regular deep reps, 6 short reps at the bottom, 10 on 1 leg, 10 on the other, another 10 at the bottom and the 6 as hard and as fast as you can possibly push. It should feel like there's no way you can possible get to 6. Then, when you stand up, you're legs should burn so bad you can't do anything but wiggle and moan.

I did 6 sets. Ouch!

Then, calves, straight leg deadlifts and prone hamstring curls. When I got home I took a 45 minute nap.

I had my body fat % taken yesterday: 18.6% I think I'm going to try to loose a little body fat for the summer, I have a few vacations and a wedding in the next few months. (NO not my wedding!)

I'm not really going diet, I'm just going to add sprinting and agility workouts in throughout the week. I'll keep you posted!

Arms and Agility

Today one of my clients, who calls me "Guns", came to work out with me. We did arms. Then one of the guys I work out with wanted to do some agility stuff. So, after a great arm workout I took then through about 30 minutes of quick feet, ladder, jumping and quicksteps. It was so much fun. I haven't done stuff like that in a while. I love all the ways you can train your body. I need a nap now. ZZZzzzzzz.

Oooh! Love legs.

Yesterday was leg day. The boys and I did 8 sets of DEEP squats 20 reps EACH! Yes, 20 reps. Then, straight leg deadlifts, 4 sets, followed by 3 sets of heavy calves...but I didn't stop there. Oh no no. My old training partner Ashleigh came in and so I did 4 sets of cable lunges with 4 sets of hamstring curls. THEN, we did 3 sets of 45 degree leg pressing AND FINALLY, 3o minutes of the treadmill. I was like the energizer bunny. (No pun intended...with Easter coming and all.)
I had 2 great leg workouts in 2 hours. Whew!
My legs are tight today, but not too sore. I think I needed that kind of workout....I love the feeling of training so hard you almost can't stand up without your knees buckling under you.

Happy Easter Everyone!
