Rested and Recovered.

Hi there, I'm much better today. I got plenty of sleep over the weekend!

Sunday was a great leg day. We did front squats...I had never done them before...It was great! My quads are sore this morning, but my back is sore too. Maybe I didn't do them with correctly or with good form, because I shouldn't have a sore back.

Wish me luck, I have a big exam in class tonight!!

I promise to post my diet soon...I'm procrastinating, sorry. I need to get a few new pictures up too.

It's my birthday this Friday!! The BIG 22. I am going to cheat and eat out! (Don't tell my training partner!)

It caught up to me this week.

I almost reach exahustion yesterday. With working so much, my training schedule and going to school in the evenings, I was about to collapse yesterday because I was so tired. It was almost impossible to pay attention in class last night. Plus, I was so overtired, I felt like crying over everything that went wrong....I hate that feeling.
It's partly my fault. I know I made my schedule tough, but when I had the chance to get to bed early on Tuesday night, I didn't, and paid the price all day Wednesday. (Really, I mean ALL DAY...3:30am-10:30pm)
Today is a little better. I will catch up this weekend.

I will be posting my diet for you to look at in the near future. It's going well.
Get some sleep everyone!

I'm getting fired up!

Sunday was leg day! I felt so good because I was on my diet and motivated for this upcoming year. I swear I'm leaner already! My partner and I had such a great workout...my butt, quads and hams are so sore today. I love that feeling in the gym when you're training hard for something...it fuels my fire! You can just feel this incrdible energy!!

Survived.

Well, I survived my night out. In fact, the next day was legs. I was ready to go, my training partner however was not feeling too great. I think I pushed myself harder than normal, because I felt I could easily slack off from being tired, a little hung over and my really hung over training partner. It was a great workout for me though, I'm still really sore today, Wednesday.

Monday kicked off the diet! So far so good. I will be taking a few pictures on Saturday and I'll post them ASAP. Then every week I'll try to get new pictures up!

The Last Hooray!

"Whoopin it up one last time!" Words from my training partner, Tony. It's Saturday night and my boyfriend Jack, training partner Tony, his girlfriend Dora and I are sitting around with rum and Cokes waiting to go out to dinner. It's our last night out before the diet starts Monday. We're going to eat pasta, dessert and drink way too much and just have great time.

Wishin everyone a good night!

I'm going to miss the Arnold this year!!!

I'm so bummed. It just happens that the weekend of the Arnold Classic, I have to be at the fire academy all day for EMS training and testing.
How is this possible? The expo, the shows, the people watching....And I'm going to miss it! I live in Columbus, OH, home of the Classic, it's my duty to be there! But, on the otherside, I really do enjoy my class. And, I need this knowledge to continue in the emergency medical field. But I want to go to the Arnold!

Everyone that can go, should! Here's the website: www.arnoldclassic.com

When did muscle become ugly on a woman?

Why do I receive so much pressure to stop bodybuilding? Why do I hear women say all the time that they want to workout, but not look like me. (Meaning very muscular and big.) When did muscle become ugly on a woman? Why are men threatened by me all the time? I always hear the words, "Don't beat me up." I can't and I won't, I am just a muscular female. People say the lifestyle is unhealthy, but how is that possible when those same people want to, "Eat better and start working out?" Bodybuilding is just the extreme of all of that. But, then we put on color and a suit, stand on a stage and compete to see who is the best!

Not all people feel that way, I realize that. But, women's bodybuilding has become really unpopular. We should bring it back!
I want to thank anyone that respects and supports strong muscular females.

You can now comment!

My buddy Oaktree found that no one was able to comment on my entries, so he fixed it! Now, please feel free to let me know what you think too. Thanks Oaktree. Thanks everybody.

In the near future:
I will be starting my diet soon and will keep everybody updated on my progress with pictures and comments as well as continuing to make entries in my training journal.

A triathalon perhaps..

Yesterday, my current boss (who is a former personal training client of mine) asked me to do a triathalon in June. I declined since I would be doing the Jr. Nationals in June. But, I have always wanted to do a full triathalon, and I will one day. But I'm not done competing in bodybuilding yet. When I don't want to do it all anymore, I won't. But it becomes a great lifestyle that you can't just stop. Not to mention the totally different training principles.

Basically, she wants me to stop bodybuilding and focus on what she thinks is a "healthier" sport. I reminded her that I would be just as crazy if I was training for a triathalon or bodybuilding show. My life revolves around my sport of choice!

I'm just tired of getting crap from people that think I need to quit bodybuilding. It must be scary for people to see someone so committed to something, do well, enjoy it and continue to do it well. But, if I was an Olympic gymnast do you think I would still get crap?

I'm sore

Yesterday was a great chest workout. I did incline presses, machines, cables and dumbells. This morning I was really soar in my upper chest. It's wonderfull! I can't wait to see my improvements over the next year.

Today was back day. I really worked on squeezing my middle back. I used this Hammer Strength lat pull down machine. When I pulled, it put my arms half way down my stomach so I could really squeeze the inside of my lats. It's all about the squeeze!
