Four weeks to go....

There is a local show about 3 hours away I think I may do in 2 weeks. It's Julie Palmer's(a pro figure competitor) show. My boyfriend will be doing it and I guess I should too, but I'm still a little nervous about my condition. I will try to get pictures up soon. I have 4 weeks to go until the Jr.Nationals!!!
I'm stressing out a little bit about expenses right now too. I have to pay for entry fees, travel, hotels, suits, hair/makeup......plus all my other bills! Anyone know of someone/company looking to sponsor a nice female bodybuilder? :))

Also, I'm going to begin personal training full time again next week! I will be offering online & phone training/consultation and one on one training. Stay tuned for more details coming soon....!

Feeling better and better

I am feeling better and better everyday!
I went to the doctor and he going to run some blood tests, but it looks like I may have just caught a virus. Maybe I was just really sick.

To make up for my week of being sick, I've bumped up my cardio and dropped my carbs. I won't do really low carbs long, I just need to get rid of any excess sugars left in my body.

I'm also starting to worry that maybe I'm not eating enough food for my body to burn only body fat. I'm going to have to make some adjustments I think.

Workouts are great! I'm back to the routine! 4 weeks to go!

I'm done being sick!

So, last night I decided I won't be sick anymore. It's a waste of time...and I don't have time to waste.
This morning I woke up and my training partner and I worked out! It was rough towards the end, but, with Tony's help, it was a great back workout. (I just yawned a lot.) I am not feeling too bad right now, so hopefully it will be a good day. And, tomorrow I'm going to the doctor for blood work and stuff- maybe I can get some answers!? It's just so annoying to not be "sick" just extremely tired. Tired! Last night, I closed my eyes for 3 seconds and I was already asleep. I could fall asleep anytime anywhere-- That's not normal! What's wrong with me??

Oh well, I'm back in the gym training and doing cardio. I won't be where I wanted to be in June, but I have to try! I really want that tight separated look in my legs...! (That would be great!) Gotta hit that stairmaster a little more, huh!

Well,

I haven't worked out in 5 days, I haven't been dieting for 4 days, I ate too many calories for 2 days and hardly anything for the other 2 days. I'm not drinking water and I'm still exhausted. I've been sleeping all day too. I want to feel better!

I went to Urgent Care a few days ago and tested negative for mono, but the doctor thinks I have some other type of virus, so he gave me some type of drug.
I have an appt. with my regular doctor on Wednesday, because I'm not better yet and some of these symptoms are a little too familiar....like when I had Guillian-Barre syndrome, Eek, I hope I don't have that!

I've been so sick, I missed my training partners show! AH!!!!!! But, congrats to him he won his weight class!
As for my show, this is definitely a problem. But, I guess, as soon as I'm healthy again, I'll try to get in the best shape I can. I know I won't be anywhere close to where I wanted to be.

Bad News..

A possible set back in this years contest prep. I'm sick.
I know it's normal to have very low amounts of energy 5 weeks before a show, but I can't hold my head up. Plus, I had a terrible fever last night. It's even too hard to type. My boyfriend suggested I eat some fast food to push a bunch of calories in my system. It didn't work. I just felt sick, and now, I'm almost asleep again.
I think I'm going to the doctor today to be tested for mono. I've never been sick like this before and I'm a little worried...being this close to the show and needing to be a lot leaner! I'll keep ya posted.

It's different this time

I'm now 6 weeks out and my body looks different to me than last year at 6 weeks out. My boyfriend (a competitor of like 10 years) tells me, "It's different every year." Meaning your life situation, physique, support system, ... and diet will be different every year. It's expected! But, this year I feel like my body is shaped differently. Like I'm carrying my fat in different places. I'm really lean in certain areas and then others seem to hold nothing but fat! Example...my stomach. My stomach is really lean, you can see all my abs, but just below my belly button is a little pocket of fat! Like 1 inch by 1 inch...? Is this strange to anyone else? Am I just going through those 6 weeks out jitters?
Any way, I'm feeling really good today and I'm ready to burn all that fat off! I'm just not patient enough I guess.

Also, my training partners show is next Saturday! He's looking SO Great! Everyone wish him luck...even though he won't need it!

Alright...


So, Dora did really well, she got 3rd. We're very happy with that and she's thrilled because she got rid of the first show jidders. In 2 weeks, she and Tony will compete here in Columbus.
