Reminiscing... & What's with Biceps?


Yesterday I got out pictures from ALL my shows for a little motivation. I was looking at my different conditioning of each show and the progressions. I found these photos that I forget about. I was about 6 weeks out here from the Jr. Nationals in 2006, but look how soft I am. Low carbs and not eating enough.

While I was looking through all the photos taken by a professional, 75% of them were bicep shots. What's with that? Why are biceps so great to look at?! Notice, I didNOT choose a bicep shot to post that was just out of spite... And, well, I DO NOT have great biceps...by I digress.

PLEASE TELL ME WHY BICEP SHOTS ARE SO POPULAR??! Is it sexy? Or powerful? Strength? Shape? Femininity? Muscularity? WHAT?! I don't get it.




Rehab is going well, I guess. I get frustrated, but it's just because I'm impatient. I am at least doing well with food lately, I am still hoping to do the Team U in Sept...

Had a GREAT weekend! I passed my EMT-B re-certification test, went off-roading and hung out with a good friend Patrick.



I found this great trail on Saturday! It felt SO good to get outside!

Working on getting better

I'm doing really well with my recovery. The only thing not going so well is the blood pooling in my ankle. It's basically a nasty bruise. I'm only 2.5 weeks out of surgery and I've got pretty good range of motion! It just looks a little funny.



Rehab is a blast! There are some great people there and it's the best part of my day!



I've been having a hard time being "injured." I've only worked out my upper body a few times in the last month, and 20 minutes into it, I'm totally exhausted. So, I feel squishy, soft and fat... I know I know, it's only temporary. I just want to be able to go for a walk! But, I can't...yet. Plus, I bounce around at work all day and then I'm swollen and sore the next day. Recovering is hard, mentally and physically.


The weather has been gorgeous lately. Spring is coming!
