I am refocused and ready to go for the path to becoming a pro. I've learned over the last few months and working with my coach, that I have a long path ahead, but with patience and hard work, I can do it! I CAN DO IT!

This is the AMAZING home I get to stay in when working with my coach in Las Vegas! Rough life-huh?!?! Can't THANK SCOTT ENOUGH!!!

Lots to tell! BIG UPDATE.

Not ready yet:

At 14 weeks out from the show, I have been experiencing daily sharp pains in my knee. This knee is just not ready. I would have to really hit the cardio hard in order to get to the conditioning I need to win this show. And, I can't go 100% on that knee.

My coach and a few other close friends helped me decide what to do. Do I go for it at 80% and just deal with the pain? Or, wait til I'm really ready, I mean really ready, mind, knee and body to go for it at 100%.. I, of course want to do the show in 14 weeks! I'll just deal with the pain, but my coach pointed out that was "Rookie talk." He's right.

After processing all of this, I realized I can't just hurry up and get ready for a show in 16 weeks anymore. Not if I want to be competitive in the sport and play with the big girls. I want to be a pro! Professional athletes take there time, prepare and get on stage at 100%. So, that's what I'm going to do.

Truthfully, I'm frustrated. I want to compete. I want to be healthy and just do it! But, as my coach says, I need to learn to respect the process. I have potential, but I need to be ready first.

I am going to continue to eat my meals, train my buns off and do my cardio and prepare like I'm getting ready for a show. Which show? Not sure yet.... but I know that when I step on stage I will be ready. I need that confidence to become a pro. I want to see how good I can be.

NOW....Great News!!

iForce Nutrition has decided to make me a part of their team! iForce is a relatively new company that's growing like crazy! They have great training products and I'm very excited to have a great sponsor!

I'm in the process of creating a bodyspace page on bodybuilding.com where I will have another blog for updates as part of the iForce Group. Look for weekly updates and pics! Look for us at the Olympia and Arnold! I'll be at the boothe!

That's all for now

Moving Right Along...

Now, 15 weeks from the Team Universe, things are moving right along!

Still eating a ton of food, doing 45 mins of cardio in the morning and training hard! I have feeling my coach will be taking some food out of my diet soon, or adding some cardio, because at 15 weeks I have a long way to go!! My weight is 176lbs with clothes on. But, I'm the leanest 176 I've ever been- that's exciting!! I'll keep ya posted!

I realized I forgot to post a picture I found from the Arnold back in February. So here it is, this is Veronica Miller, myself and my best friend since childhood, Brian being silly.

Saying Hi to BoXer Girl!

An old friend and bootcamp buddy left me a message! Thank you soo much! I wish I could have continued coming, but I blew out my knee and had to have surgery. Bootcamp wouldn't be any fun without a knee! How are you? Ready to start on that fitness competition yet?!?!!

17 weeks out now... My diet is consists of 7 good size meals, it's really a ton of food! I'm enjoying it now, because I know I'm not going to get to eat soo much in the very near future. Working with my new coach has been great. My training has gotten more intense and I'm sore almost everyday. I am going up to las Vegas to see him and train for 2 days again this week. I'll let ya know if I survive!

20 Weeks Out

A lot has happened in the last month...

To give you a quick update I am 20 weeks out from the Team Universe. I weigh 176 lbs and I'm 17 % bodyfat.

I am working with a great coach named Manny Torres out of Las Vegas. (This will be a little challenge since I live in Scottsdale, AZ. But since it's worth it to me, I'll make it work!) I got the first phase of the diet, went grocery shopping and I'm ready to get started!

I am SOOOO lucky to have an incredible support system. I have the most supportive boyfriend, co-workers and friends. I also have an extremely generous friend who has offered me his condo in Vegas to help with my commuting.

THANK YOU! I'm going to bed, I'll write more later! Nite Nite.

Going to bed, but wanted to say "Hi."

Hello! It's been a while since I posted anything, sorry.

The time has come. I have begun the focused prep for the 2009 Team Universe.

I could write for hours about everything that's been different and will be this year. So many variables (called life!) when it comes to bodybuilding... I won't, well, maybe I will, but another day. I'm too tired right now.

Wanted to just put a few pictures up from the Arnold. These are two great guys I met from NC! And yes, that's me in a dress... you didn't think it could happen right! Well it did! But I ditched the heels! Ha!

Focused

Lately, I've been talking to a few people about my bodybuilding future and found it very motivating and exciting. Last night, I was looking at a few photoshoots from November 2008 and got even more EXCITED to compete. Well, I thought I would share a few of my favorites. (More like a few I shake my head at and can't believe is really me!)

I have to admit it seems a little silly of me to post all these pictures of myself, but you know what, I'm doing it! I'm doing it because I want to be better and better every year!
Happy March!

Thanks Gene and Mike
